Independent Living
KinVillage provides affordable and subsidized rental housing for independent older adults and younger adults with disabilities. Rent for affordable housing is $769.50 per month, while subsidized housing is based on 30% of gross income through our partnership with BC Housing. Eligibility requirements include age, residency, income, and asset criteria.

Eligibility requirements, you must:
Be a permanent resident of British Columbia, and meet Canadian Citizenship requirements as defined by BC Housing.
Have a low to moderate income as defined annually by BC Housing (currently less than $58,000.00 a year);
Have household net assets less than $100,000.
Be age 55 years or older and/or a person with disabilities who can live independently and is in receipt of a recognized disability pension or is considered disabled for income tax purposes.
SUITE INFORMATION
All are one bedroom suites with an ensuite bathroom, living and dining areas including a full kitchen with a fridge and stove. Each has its own balcony or patio. Larger-sized suites are assigned to accommodate couples or those who require wheelchairs. There are additional common lounge areas and patios for gatherings within each building. Shared laundry facilities are available in convenient locations to all suites.
Independent Living Suites are located within 3 buildings at KinVillage. Pets and smoking are not allowed in the buildings. (Please be aware that some existing tenants, under a “grandfather” provision, are permitted to smoke in their suites.) There are designated outdoor smoking areas on the property.
North Court
86 units ranging from 464 square feet to 550 square feet.
South Court
11 Units ranging from 430 square feet to 550 square feet.
Vidal Court
30 units primarily 578 square feet with some up to 813 square feet.
