Seniors’ Supportive Housing

Seniors Supportive Housing provides affordable housing and assistance for adults aged 55 and over with low to moderate incomes, and people with disabilities who need help living independently.

To apply for independent subsidized housing at Kinvillage please apply through the BC Housing website.

Eligibility requirements you must:

  1. Be a permanent resident of British Columbia, and meet Canadian Citizenship requirements as defined by BC Housing.

  2. Have a low to moderate income as defined annually by BC Housing (currently less than $58,000.00 a year);

  3. Have household net assets less than $100,000

  4. Be age 55 years or older and/or a person with disabilities who can live independently and is in receipt of a recognized disability pension or is considered disabled for income tax purposes.

SENIORS’ SUPPORTIVE HOUSING DETAILS

Living in the supportive apartments at KinVillage provides seniors with a comfortable, safe residence within a caring community. This housing program includes the following support:

  • 1 main evening meal served daily in the dining room

  • Approximately ½ hour per week to clean suites and change bed linens.

  • Flat linens and towels washed once per week

  • Residents have access to free wellness opportunities through a nearby community center. This includes adult-focused programs for fitness, arts and crafts, music, education, outings, events, and more. They can also enjoy the Unique Boutique and Buenos Dias Cafe.
